NW Writers - How to Tell Your Story and Sell your Book
How to Tell Your Story and Sell Your Book
Date/Time: Tue, 12/10/2013 - 6:30pm - 8:30pm
You’re standing at a gathering and someone asks, “What’s your book about?” Are you ready with an answer?
Whether you are the author, the publisher, the designer or just involved in its publication, there is a story that tells the story, and it takes craft and practice to put it together.
Acting coach and publisher Nancy McDonald will be guiding you through an interactive lecture/workshop on perfecting the elements that go into telling the story of your work, whether it be to an audience of one through a short conversation or an audience of thousands through an interview or presentation.
Nancy McDonald’s diverse background as an actor, director, producer, corporate trainer, arts educator, private coach and publisher have given her a unique perspective and innovative style. While working as a professional actor, she founded Shakespeare Stage Company in New York and The Writer’s Lab in Hollywood. Nancy is owner of Indelible Mark Publishing and teaches a wide variety of communication and performance related courses.
This presentation is part of a series of classes presented once a month. Monthly presentations are free to NWPA (Northwest Writers and Publishers) members. Non-members attending: $10; Member's guest: $5. No charge for students under the age of 18.
