Join the GSWCO for a quarterly meeting at the Library. Meet other local history and genealogy fans, plus learn a new trick or two to help with your genealogy research.

February's speaker is Nanci Remington, a retired teacher who has been working on her family history for almost 10 years. She will focus on using Picasa, a free, easy to use program from Google that allows you to organize, edit and share photos and digital documents. Learn how to use this tool for both personal and genealogy records. We will go step by step with a group of images...scan, organize and edit. If you have a laptop, you can bring it and play along.

Nancy is the education chair of the Genealogical Forum of Oregon and on the library committee. She enjoys teaching how to find and use the many free resources available on the internet, including Google Maps, Picasa, Family Search and online educational opportunities.
