Fifty years ago, a "perfect storm" raged through Oregon and Washington. Nicknamed "The Big Blow," the storm became the standard by which all northwest disasters are measured. According to official reports, wind gusts in Portland reached hurricane force - and the storm was just beginning to roar! Kathie Dello, deputy director of Oregon Climate Service at Oregon State University, and George Taylor from Applied Climate Services in Corvallis capture the science and lore behind this legendary weather phenomenon on its 50th anniversary. If you weathered the storm, come share your stories.
